Rs 32 lakh cash bag stolen from advocate
KOLKATA: Two incidents of theft and burglary were reported from hollister clothing south Kolkata on Thursday. According to the police, the first incident of theft worth Rs 32 lakh took place in Bhowanipore. Advocate Gautam Mitra had kept the cash in a bag recently. He claimed o hollister clothing ne of his clerks, who knew about the money, had fled with the cash bag. “It seems someone close to the victim is behind the incident. We are investigating the case and hope to recover the money soon,” an investigating officer said.

According to the police, Rahul Aggarwal, a businessman, lodged a complaint that silver ornaments, expensive clothes and copper utensils worth Rs 2.3 lakh went missing from his house. Incidentally, another burglary had been reported from the same house on Dhanteras last year in which items and cash worth Rs 11 lakh went missing. The detective department has taken over the case.
