RTD delays for Colfax Marathon
KUSA The Colfax Marathon celebrates a vibrant street and encourages healthy and fit communities. Enjoy the majestic Colorado views, plus Colfax Avenue, eclectic neighborhoods, downtown, parks and amazing views.
Users of RTD Lightrail and bus service should also expect some delays for certain routes. If you’re taking public transportation to the Metropolitan State University graduation Sunday morning allow extra time to get there.
The following routes will be temporarily detoured in many areas, but will be allowed to cross the marathon route when possible: 0, 1, 6, 9, 10, 12, 15, 15L, 16, 20, 24, 28, 30, 38, 40, 44, 48, 51, 65, 73, 76, 83L. Light rail lines D and H may also experience delays. Signs will be posted at bus stops affected by the detours. More information can be found here.
Drivers are urged to avoid Speer Boulevard and Colfax Avenue all together.
