Rubbish is making Westwood pensioners
“Because of the way in which the houses round here hollister sale are set, the wheelie bins have to be gathered at a central point, which for some reason is directly outside my garden gate. On collection day the place is a nightmare.
“People fill their bins too high and leave bags on the ground to be collected, but the bin men won’t take it away if it’s not in the bins, so it just lies there. In the recent hot weather the discarded rubbish was stinking.
“If the collection point was round the corner slightly further away from the houses then I wouldn’t have to endure the mess and the stench. But the council won’t do anything so I’m left to suffer.”
In a statement, SLC didn’t address the issue of the collection area but warned householders they faced fines for dumping rubbish.
A spokeswoman said: “Environmental health officers have written to a number of people in this area advising them of the proper disposal of their waste in the bin area and of our f hollister sale ree special uplift service for additional domestic waste.
“In the event of hollister sale people not using the wheeled bins properly and leaving waste lying around, it would be viewed as fly t hollister sale ipping and people identified as causing this problem will be issued with a fixed penalty notice of 50.
