The combo package is available for $15.According to Neil Alford, Past District Governor of Rotary District 6840, 550 boxes of hollister uk potatoes and 300 bags of rice were delivered Nov. 5 and distributed to the Rotary membership to sell throughout the community. Rotarian support is the key to the project’s continued success. “All or 90 percent of the members participate,” he said.Garber Farms, a family business located in Iota, La., provides the hollister uk yams, which are fresh cured, hand selected, brushed, cleaned and ready to cook.The rice is grown on a sandy ridge between Bayou Nezpique and Bayou Des Cannes in the heart of south Louisiana’s Cajun country. By crossing a Basmati rice with an extra large long grain American rice, Garber Farmes is able to offer the best of both worlds in Creole Rose. It has a popcorn like aroma and nutty flavor.
